New Doors are opening at our Epsom SiteTuesday, 9th March 2010 at 12:01

Behind the imposing new glass frontage the new upgraded Passenger Departure Centre is nearing completion. The centre will include a new passenger reception area. The Departure Centre now incorporates the fascinating new heritage centre.

Moving in day is fast approaching. The new ultra modern staff facilities will be opened in full on Monday 29th March. This follows the transfer of Fleetcare into the new workshop and stores. The control reception is also underway. A striking feature is the impressive maple doors and frames throughout the building.

Around the site state of the art CCTV is now working and the old Fleetcare building is currently being demolished, this should be completed within the next two weeks. We have now following a long delay taken ownership of the additional land to the rear, planting around the new boundary is underway. The ground work will then start for the long awaited new car and coach parking areas which will allow for the expansion of the vehicle fleet.

Llamas, Seaside and CakeWednesday, 3rd March 2010 at 10:01

Over one hundred people celebrated Epsom Coaches 90th anniversary trip to Eastbourne this month. The exclusive trip was laid on for our top 100 clients and staff to celebrate our 90th Anniversary this year.

Starting this fantastic weekend we visited the llamas at Ashdown Forest before arriving at our fantastic seafront Langham Hotel. The hotel itself was magnificent with views over Eastbourne's beautiful coastline.

There was non-stop fun and entertainment for our clients, from Bingo to a treasure hunt and from watching the rugby to playing Roulette. Just for fun of course!!!  There was live entertainment every night and we also managed to include a raffle for our chosen charity Parkinson’s Disease Society.

Our Commercial Director Steve Whiteway was also enjoying this fun packed weekend. Steve has recently been appointed President of the Industry body; The Confederation of Passenger Transport and gave an interesting and insightful talk about Epsom Coaches rich and interesting history.

On Saturday night we were presented with a fantastic 90th birthday cake by Andrew the Manager of Langham Hotel, which was cut by Steve Whiteway his wife Lyn and their son Harry 7 and enjoyed by all.
